Product Description:
A transmission filter prevents dirt and debris from getting into the gears and other parts of the transmission system. For the 6HP/8HP, the recommendation is to perform a "drain-and-fill" service every 30,000-35,000 miles.
When servicing your ZF6HP19/ZF6HP21 transmission it is required to drop the oil pan to replace the filter. Whenever you drop the oil pan from the body of the transmission it is required to replace the transmission gasket in order to ensure leak free operation.
To service your transmission you will need:
-Transmission Pan Gasket (Recommended ZEGG-6HP Trans Pan Gasket available on Shop page)
-Transmission Fluid (Recommended transmission fluid available on our Shop Page)
